Making Preservation Fun
There is a great new group in Delray Beach that is making learning about historic preservation fun! It's called Preservation Generation, and it is a group of young adults in their 20's-40's who gather once a month at a historic building in Delray that is now a bar or restaurant for a Happy History Hour. The cost is $10 per person and includes hors d'ouevres and a drink. So far the group has met at the Falcon House (to benefit The Delray Beach Preservation Trust) and Tryst (to benefit Sandoway House)...This month they will meet (Wednesday, February 23rd, 5:30-7:30pm) at City Oyster, to benefit
The Delray Beach Historical Society.

Welcome
Welcome to my blog on beautiful Delray Beach, Florida...my hometown. Although I live away from Delray now, it is always in my heart and on my mind....and my family spends quite a lot of time there on vacation! It saddens me so to return after being gone for only a little while, to see how much been torn down, and what has been built to replace it.
Delray Beach is significant in the historic fabric of Florida, and it can't afford to lose any more of that history!
